Frequently Asked Questions
About Rate Rocket
-
Rate Rocket is a conversion and measurement layer that sits on top of your existing hotel or hostel booking engine. It renders the full shopping journey on your own website, hands the basket to your booking engine at checkout, and measures every step against a documented attribution model. Rate Rocket is not a booking engine and does not replace your existing infrastructure.
-
Rate Rocket is live on D-Edge, Mews and Cloudbeds. An SDK is in place for connecting additional booking engines. The integration is a JavaScript layer on your website that connects to your booking engine's API. You keep the booking engine, PMS and payment infrastructure you already run.
-
No. Rate Rocket is a conversion and measurement layer that sits on top of your existing booking engine. Your booking engine remains the merchant of record and continues to handle checkout and payment. Rate Rocket adds the conversion intelligence, the measurement, and the peer benchmarking.
-
Rate Rocket is a product of Qwentès Italia Srl, an independent hospitality technology company based in Milan with over 20 years of experience building booking flows for European hospitality operators. Qwentès is independent and vendor-neutral.
-
Rate Rocket is built for hostels, hybrid hotels, aparthotels, independent hotels, both single-property and multi-property groups.
Deployment and integration
-
Rate Rocket typically goes live in days, not months. Integration is a JavaScript layer added to your website with a small server-side configuration for your booking engine. There is no PMS migration, no downtime, and no replatforming.
-
No. Rate Rocket is designed to work with the booking engine you already have. It sits on top of D-Edge, Mews and Cloudbeds today, with an SDK in place for connecting additional booking engines, and hands the basket to your booking engine at checkout.
-
No. Your existing booking engine remains the merchant of record. Rate Rocket does not enter the payment path and does not handle or store card data. Where a payment iframe is rendered on a Rate Rocket page, the booking engine remains the merchant of record and the PCI scope stays with the booking engine.
-
Rate Rocket-delivered components are built to WCAG 2.1 AA and are designed to support properties meeting their obligations under the European Accessibility Act (Directive EU 2019/882), which took effect on 28 June 2025. The accessibility of the parts of the booking flow rendered by your existing booking engine is the responsibility of that booking engine. The scope boundary is documented in the SaaS Agreement.
-
Rate Rocket-delivered components are built to WCAG 2.1 AA, in line with the European Accessibility Act (Directive EU 2019/882). This means the parts of the booking flow Rate Rocket renders do not add to your compliance exposure. Rate Rocket does not, and cannot, provide a compliance guarantee for the full booking flow, because parts of the flow are rendered by your existing booking engine and remain that vendor's responsibility. Your property's full compliance posture is the combination of Rate Rocket's delivered components, your booking engine vendor's components, and your own website's compliance. Rate Rocket's scope boundary is documented in the SaaS Agreement.
Measurement and attribution
-
Every deployment starts with a 90-day pre-deployment Baseline against which conversion, average order value and revenue per guest are measured. During the Attribution Window that follows, Rate Rocket's contribution to each metric is measured against the Baseline. The result is delivered as an Attribution Report designed to survive audit.
-
Rate Rocket's anchor metric is +12% total payments captured, measured across the Attribution Window against the pre-deployment Baseline. Modelled from Rate Rocket's current results across live deployments. We separately model +10% average order value and +10% revenue per guest as secondary metrics. Rate Rocket does not add these figures together, and every metric is confirmed against your own Baseline during the Measurement Period.
-
No. Your existing booking engine remains the merchant of record. Rate Rocket does not enter the payment path and does not handle or store card data. Where a payment iframe is rendered on a Rate Rocket page, the booking engine remains the merchant of record and the PCI scope stays with the booking engine.
-
Attribution is reported at three levels: deterministic, where a Rate Rocket reference survives the handoff to the reservation record; near-deterministic, where session tagging closes the loop; and probabilistic, where session-to-reservation reconstruction is required. Attribution level per integration is disclosed on request.
Comparisons and objections
-
Cloudbeds and Mews are booking engines and property management platforms. To deploy them you replatform. Rate Rocket sits on top of your existing booking engine and adds a conversion and measurement layer without replacing anything. Rate Rocket is complementary to Cloudbeds and Mews, not a substitute for them.
-
Triptease covers rate parity and price messaging. Lighthouse covers meta-search bidding and market intelligence. Rate Rocket does not replace those tools and does not offer meta-search bidding or parity monitoring today. What Rate Rocket adds that neither delivers is a single, measured attribution of what your direct channel is actually earning during the Attribution Window, measured against a documented pre-deployment Baseline. Properties commonly run Rate Rocket alongside Triptease or Lighthouse.
-
No. Rate Rocket is focused on on-site conversion and measurement-grade attribution on top of your existing booking engine. Meta-search bidding is handled by tools like Lighthouse. Rate parity monitoring is handled by tools like Triptease. Rate Rocket is designed to work alongside those tools, and the Attribution Report we deliver measures your direct-channel outcome regardless of which meta-search and parity tools you use.
-
Yes, and Rate Rocket complements your RMS. Duetto, IDeaS and similar systems set your rates. Rate Rocket sells more units at whatever rates your RMS produces, by optimising how those rates are presented, ordered and completed on your website.
-
Rate Rocket collects booking session data, booking inquiry data, and booking transaction data as strictly required to deliver the conversion and measurement service. Data is processed within the European Economic Area under GDPR, and Rate Rocket operates under a Data Processing Agreement with each customer. Guest personal data is minimised, and the peer benchmarking layer works only on irreversibly aggregated data.
Commercial
-
Rate Rocket is licensed per Licensed Property on a portfolio-banded, co-terminous basis, with a Shared Deployment Investment structure for new deployments. Pricing is calibrated to property scale and deployment mode. There are no OTA-style booking commissions and no revenue share on the bookings Rate Rocket helps recover.
-
Yes. Every new deployment includes a 15-day exit right after the Baseline document is delivered, so you can review the measured Baseline and decide whether to continue before subscription fees begin.
-
Yes. Rate Rocket is built for multi-property operators and provides per-property Attribution Reports and peer benchmarking across the portfolio. Portfolio-level measurement is under active development, delivered per-property under Statements of Work today. Commercial arrangements for groups are structured as portfolio Master Services Agreements with Statements of Work per property.
